Achievements/History of drumming career: Islay was the lead drummer of our Novice Juvenile band when they won the World Championships and became Champion of Champions in 1998. She then moved on to the Vale of Atholl Juveniles, where she was the lead drummer for two years. Islay rejoined the MacKenzie in 2006 to help out our tenor section, and is now back playing side with us. She has played in Japan, Lithuania and Brittany, and has performed twice at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

Islay is also the lead drummer of Tayforth UOTC (since 2005), and has won the Ex Northern Lights competition in 2003 and 2005, and the TA Championships in 2008.
