Achievements/History of piping career: As well as playing for The MacKenzie, Colin also plays for the National Youth Pipe Band and has done since 2006. he has won several prizes in junior solo competitions including winning two MSR events nationally.

Colin also appeared on BBC News for playing at Glamis Castle on the day of the Queen Mothers’ funeral, which he deems to be "a little embarrassing".
